DAP 2014 - Day 2
With our morning starting at 7am, we began with a quick breakfast meeting with Jason "JJ" Sylvain, our Vocal Coach and Artistic Director at Chick-a-fila. We then proceed to our new "creative" home, Studio 27 to begin our development. We had our participants run through physical fitness with Ms. Carmen, Monologues and TV Commercials with Greg and Anna before lunch. The afternoon began with vocal training & songwriting with Jason, as well as acting training & filming/recording with Greg & Anna. Our time at Studio 27 ended with group choreography with Ms. Brittany.
At 3:00pm (see the day was barely over - lol), we headed over to Orange Room Studios to meet John Beal and the rest of the OR team. We wasted no time and got right down to the business of creating the song for week #1. The track was created especially for us by our Intern Enrico (aka Renex Musix) and the ladies (Suki & Izzy) started to create and write their song. During their time in the studio, a special guest just happened to arrive. International singer/songwriter Ron Jackson stopped into the studio and shared a little insight with our DAP participants. He promised to get back to check in on their progress later on in the week, so stay tuned. After a few hours and great progress, it was time to call it quits for the day. After a quick stop for dinner, we headed by to the hotel and settled in for the night - - DAY 3 to come!!
